Wafer Works announced that its new Erlin Plant successfully produced its very first crystal ingot on April 30, 2026, marking the facility’s official transition into active production.   This milestone demonstrates our readiness to meet the global demand for high-quality 12-inch (300mm) silicon wafers. From groundbreaking to the first finished product, the timely progress of the Erlin plant reflects our commitment to operational efficiency and technical excellence.   “Rooted in Taiwan, looking toward the world.” As a cornerstone of Wafer Works’ long-term growth strategy, the Erlin facility will significantly expand our manufacturing scale, enabling us to deliver advanced and reliable wafer solutions to our global partners.  

(Taoyuan, Taiwan, Apr. 3rd, 2024) A major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 struck off Taiwan’s eastern coast on Apr 3rd, 2024, leading to widespread disasters. The company’s Longtan facility was forced to suspend production. Personnels were all safely evacuated. Meanwhile, a taskforce was teamed up, based on BCP protocols, to inspect the facility and equipment. Operations were restored within 12 hours after the earthquake. The impact on Longtan facility is not severe, yet operations at the other sites are unaffected.
