(Taoyuan, Taiwan, Oct 8) Wafer Works reported its best ever monthly consolidated revenue of NTD 901 million in September, up 46.2% year over year, leading to a record-high quarterly revenue of NTD 2,620 million in Q3’21, an increase of 39.7% compared to the same period of last year. Accumulated revenue for the first nine months totaled NTD 7,383 million, equaling the annual revenue of year 2020.
According to SEMI, chip shortage could last into 2022/2023, surging demand from the semiconductor market keeps boosting the shipments of silicon wafers. With capacitiy utilization approaching 100% and the gradually increasing contribution from our 12-inch polished and epitaxial wafers, we anticipate strong growth momentum for the coming quarters.
