(Taoyuan, Taiwan, June 8) Three cluster infections of COVID-19 occurred in HsinChu and Maioli county in early June, accumulating over 200 confirmed cases, led to a suspension of operation and tremendous loss of capacity to a high-tech company.

Wafer Work, as always, has dedicated to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees and supporting its customers with quality products and on time delivery. To ensure the normal operation of Wafer Works, a series of protection measures have been taken since the second wave of COVID-19 in Taiwan:

A. Educate employees with the self-protection concept, avoiding gatherings and unnecessary egress.

B. Clean and sanitize the working environment and facilities periodically.

C. Tighten the control of entering Wafer Works facilities.

D. Minimize the participants and frequency of meetings, maximize the use of conference.

E. Split operation in segregated teams, partially work from home.

F. Adapt “On-line Health Report System” for employees to effectively report daily epidemicrelated information.

In addition to these protection measures, Wafer Works schedules to provide COVID-19 rapid test on June 10 for all foreign workers staying in the dormitory. This is to minimize the risk of cluster infection and result shall be released soon.
