Vertical Direction
With years of research and development, Wafer Works relies on its core technology for product innovation. Wafer Works has successfully developed the technology to produce high quality, heavily doped 200 mm substrates, and have incorporated epitaxial services to our vertically integrated manufacturing process. These additions allow us to provide the market with more valuable business solutions with an in-depth product offering through an efficient and convenient purchasing procedure.

 Horizontal Direction
As the technical development horizontally, Wafer Works strives to create capability for sapphire substrates. The capability of wafering the sapphire substrates has been successfully pushed forward to mass production in the Phase I. With stepping in the Phase II, core technology development was focused on crystal growth of sapphire, and the crystal growth technology has been realized to mass production successfully. Based on the achievements, we are now at a point to improve and advance the capabilities of crystal growth and wafering processes. In addition to the sapphire substrates used for applications of opto-electronics, we also strive to investigate fundamentals of solar-grade silicon substrates in order to create core knowledge of the substrates available for solar applications with low-cost and high-efficiency.
